Under-19 side heading for Austria training camp

The Malta Under-19 squad are heading to Austria for a six-day training camp during which they will also play two friendly matches.

Winston Muscat, the Malta Under-19 coach who is assisted by Stefano Grima, has selected a squad of 20 players for this training camp which is part of the team’s build-up for their UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifiers against hosts Italy, Slovakia and Cyprus in November.

Muscat’s squad is a mix of players who featured at the last UEFA U-19 qualifying mini-tournament at the Centenary Stadium in November, where the Malta U-19s finished third with four points, and a host of new players who have been promoted from the Malta U-17 squad.

During this training camp, Malta will be playing two friendly matches against FC Tirol and Jenbach.
