The draws for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League will be held on Monday.
Valletta qualified for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League after eliminating F91 Dudelange thanks to a 2-2 draw in Luxembourg and a 1-1 draw at the Centenary Stadium to qualify on the away goals rule.
On the other hand, in the UEFA Europa League, Gzira United lost 0-2 to Hajduk Split at the Centenary Stadium but bounced back in style with an impressive 3-1 win in Split to make it to the second qualifying round.
Valletta/Ferencvaros are unseeded in the UEFA Champions League champions path.
The possible opponents for the winner of the Valletta/Ferencvaros clash are Ajax (NED); Celtic (SCO)/Nõmme Kalju (EST); København (DEN)/The New Saints (WAL); GNK Dinamo (CRO)/Saburtalo (GEO); BATE Borisov (BLR)/Rosenborg (NOR) and APOEL (CYP)/Sutjeska (MNE).
Balls containing the seeded clubs are put into one bowl, with balls for the unseeded sides positioned in another. A ball is taken from each bowl and placed in a large empty bowl in the middle, where they are shuffled. The first team drawn plays the first match at home, against the second one drawn.
Sides defeated in this round transfer to the UEFA Europa League champions path play-offs.
UEFA Champions League third qualifying round matches will be played on August 6/7 and 13.
