Swieqi United registered an impressive 4-1 win over Qormi in one of the two BOV First Division matches in programme on Friday.

At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Felipe Nunes Fernandes put Swieqi ahead on the 3rd minute and the Brazilian doubled the score on the 32nd. Tejumola Ebenezer Ayorinde made it 3-0 nine minutes in the second half as he converted a penalty. Ibrahim Salis increased the lead on the 73rd but Freud Gnindokponou pulled one back thanks to a penalty six minutes from time.

At the Luxol Stadium, Naxxar Lions beat hosts St. Andrews 2-1.

Edson Cerqueira Farias gave Naxxar the lead on the 57th minute and seven minutes later, Mead Mifsud doubled the score. Joseph Farrugia scored a consolation goal for St. Andrews thanks to a penalty eleven minutes from time. .
