Mgarr United defeated Kalkara United 4-1 at the Luxol Stadium in one of the four matches from the BOV Second Division in programme on Sunday.

Kenneth Aquilina gave Mgarr the lead on the 17th and Lazar Doric doubled the score on the 26th, adding another on the 56th. Timothy Thomas pulled one back on the 84th but Kenneth Aquilina made it 4-1 three minutes from time.

A goal by Larens Vella on the 28th minute gave Rabat Ajax a narrow win over Zurrieq in another match at the Luxol Stadium.

At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Marsa defeated San Gwann 3-1.

Erik Pietribiasi put Marsa ahead on the 9th minute but Courage Omoruanzoje levelled matters for Marsa. However Nicholas Zammit restored the lead for Marsa on the 71st minute and ten minutes later, Shalon Diacono sealed the issue with a third goal.

In another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Marsaxlokk defeated Xghajra Tornados 2-1.

Denilson Borg Castaldi put Marsaxlokk ahead on the 3rd minute and although Royter Degiorgio equalised on the 19th, an Alan Tabone penalty two minutes later restored the lead for Marsaxlokk.

Melita lead the way with 10 points, followed by Marsa on 8, Mgarr 7, Marsaxlokk and Kalkara 6, San Gwann and Rabat 5, Zurrieq, Mellieha and Xghajra 4, Zabbar and Birzebbuga 2 and Luqa 1.
