Floriana will be aiming at extending their unbeaten record with a fifth win in a row as they take on Mosta at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 17:15, in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday.
The Greens won six out of the eight matches played so far and now target a fifth consecutive win in order to regain a four-point lead on second-placed Gzira United. In their last two outings, they defeated Sirens 4-1 and Senglea Athletic 5-0.
However Mosta are expected to be a tough nut to crack, considering that they are coming from a fine run of three wins as they defeated Hamrun, Santa Lucia and Sliema. They currently share sixth place with Hibernians on thirteen points, seven behind the leaders.
Meanwhile in the second match, Senglea Athletic and Balzan both hope to return to winning ways in a direct clash between two teams who lie in a mid-table position. One point separates the two teams as Senglea are currently eighth on eleven points, followed by Balzan on ten.
Both sides lost three out of their last five matches with Senglea losing heavily to Floriana in their last outing and Balzan losing 2-4 to Sirens.
Senglea and Balzan will be unable to field their best formation as Ivan Bozovic and Nenad Sljivic are suspended for Balzan while Elvis Sakyi and Justin Micallef are banned for Senglea.
