St. Andrews registered a comfortable 4-0 win over neighbours Pembroke Athleta in a match from the BOV First Division at the Luxol Stadium on Friday.

Alan Borg Olivier put the Saints ahead on the half-hour and Joseph Farrugia converted a penalty on the 78th. Borg Olivier added another on the 75th and Kemmu Degran Jackson scored a fourth goal a minute later.

Meawhile Qrendi came from behind to beat Qormi 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

Freud Gnindokponou put Qormi ahead on the 6th minute but Qrendi levelled matters through an Alexander Nilsson penalty on the 78th and Dhonatan Santos da Hora notched the winner on the 90th.

Lija lead the way with 19 points, followed by Qrendi and St. Andrews on 17, Zejtun 15, Pieta’ 14, Naxxar 13, Zebbug 11, Pembroke 10, Qormi and St. George’s 9, Swieqi 8, Mqabba and Fgura 7 and Vittoriosa 4.
