Wilfried Domoraud joins Gzira United

Gzira United secured the services of French winger Wilfried Domoraud who signed a two-year deal with the club.

The 31-year old had moved to Malta in October 2018 to join Hamrun Spartans where he spent the last fifteen months.

A product of AS Nancy, Domoraud moved to England where he played for Yeovil Town, Weymouth, Weston-Super-Mare and Woking. He then moved to Austria, turning out for FC Dornbirn, TSV Hartberg, SV Mattersburg and Admira Wacker. Mid-way through season 2014/15, Domoraud returned to France where he joined AC Arles. In summer 2015, he moved to Dubai Cultural Sports Club but in January 2016, he moved back to Europe, joining Hobro IK in Denmark.

Domoraud could fill the gap left by Brazilian striker Jefferson Mateus de Assis Estácio who is on the verge of moving to the Middle East. The Maroons had earlier loaned Arthur Henrique Oyama Ricciardi to Sliema Wanderers.
