Gzira United secured the services of twenty-two year old midfielder Dexter Xuereb from Mosta. Xuereb signed a five-year deal with the Maroons.

A product of Mosta, Xuereb made his Premier League debut in season 2014/15. He is now a member of both the Under-21 national team and the senior side.

The Maroons had earlier signed Marco Criaco, Wilfried Domoraud and Ryan Darmanin. Anthony Curmi and Karl Pulo returned with the club after spells with Senglea Athletic while Jefferson de Assis joined Fujairah Sports Club in Dubai.
