Siggiewi moved second in the BOV Third Division as they defeated Ta’ Xbiex 2-1 in one of the two matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

Gilbert Camilleri put Siggiewi ahead on the 7th minute. Four minutes from time, Sam Vella doubled the score and Andrew Xuereb scored a consolation goal for Ta’ Xbiex on the 90th minute.

In another match, goals by Warren Zerafa on the 17th and Allan Fernandes Moreira on the 74th handed Gharghur a 2-0 win over Sta. Venera Lightnings.

Attard lead the way with 28 points, followed by Siggiewi on 23, Gharghur, Kirkop and Msida 22, Ghaxaq 21, Dingli 17, Marsaskala 12, Mdina 11, Mtarfa 10, Sta. Venera 6 and Ta’ Xbiex 4.
