Joint-leaders Floriana will be hoping to return to winning ways on Saturday as they take on Gudja United in one of the BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium and the Hibernians Stadium.

Santa Lucia take on Sirens, Sliema Wanderers face Tarxien Rainbows and Hibernians meet Mosta in the other three matches.

Santa Lucia will be aiming for a fourth win on the trot as they take on Sirens who suffered a shock 1-2 defeat to Hamrun earlier this week. The St. Paul’s Bay side share third place with Hibernians while Santa Lucia are currently tenth on 20 points.

In the first round, Sirens defeated Santa Lucia 3-1.

Floriana vs Gudja United 16:15 Centenary Stadium

After dropping eight points from the last four matches in defeats to Birkirkara and Valletta and a draw with Gzira, Floriana now share the top spot with Valletta and nothing other than a win against Gudja would satisfy Enzo Potenza’s side. Gudja are currently fourth from bottom but collected three precious points last week thanks to a narrow win over Sliema.

Gudja’s Anderson de Barros and Floriana’s Diego Venancio are ruled out through suspension.

In the first round, Floriana defeated Gudja 2-0.

Sliema Wanderers vs Tarxien Rainbows 14:00 Hibernians Stadium

Led by new coach Andrea Pisanu, Sliema Wanderers will be hoping to return to winning ways after last week’s defeat to Gudja. The Wanderers lost four out of the last five matches and are currently third from bottom. Tarxien, on the other hand, were beaten 1-3 by Santa Lucia last week to remain at the bottom of the table with four points from seventeen matches.

Tarxien could not count not he suspended Brandon Muscat and Stiv Shaba.

Sliema had defeated Tarxien 2-1 in the first round.

Hibernians vs Mosta 16:00 Hibernians Stadium

After losing to Sirens and being held in a draw by Senglea, Hibernians will be hoping to return to victory against Mosta on Saturday in their bid to revive the challenge for the title. They share third place with Sirens, four points behind the two joint-leaders. Mosta, on the other hand, share the seventh place with Balzan and Hamrun after winning three out of the last five matches.

In the first round, Hibs defeated Mosta 2-1.
