Tarxien Rainbows have appointed Winston Muscat as their new coach. Muscat, who signed a two-year deal with the club, replaces Demis Scerri who took over as Tarxien coach mid-way through the season following the resignation of Marko Glumac.

Until last year, Muscat has been serving as coach of the Malta Under-19 national team.

Apart from working within the MFA Technical Centre, Winston Muscat worked with a number of clubs throughout his career, including St. Patrick, Vittoriosa Stars, Marsaxlokk, Naxxar Lions and Pembroke Athleta.

Despite being mathematically condemned to playing in Division 1, Tarxien Rainbows will be playing Premier League football once again in season 2020/21 following a decision of the Council of the Malta Football Association not to relegate any team from any division.
