
Davor Filipovic have been appointed as the new coach of Mosta FC. He replaces Mark Miller whose contract was terminated with mutual consent.
Filipovic, who had a short spell as assistant coach with Senglea Athletic and head coach of the Senglea Athletic Nursery last season, is a former player of Sliema Wanderers in the nineties. He had two spells with the Blues playing throughout season 1991/92 and in the early part of season 1998/99.
Apart from playing for Lucki-Radnik and Rijeka in his native Croatia, he played mainly in Italy. He started his coaching career at youth level in Italy and following a three-year spell with Al Ahli in Dubai, he moved back to Italy where he worked for Brescia, Lumezzane, Montorfano and FeralpisalΓ².
Mosta FC have so far signed Clayton Failla and Larens Vella. The club has appointed former Malta Under-21 national team manager Jason Vella as their team manager.
