Gzira United signed twenty-five year old Jamaican striker Kevaughn Atkinson.

Atkinson, played for Montego Bay Academy and Sporting Central Academy in Jamaica and a spell with ASV ASKÖ Salzburg in Austria before moving to Malta to join Mosta in summer 2016. The following season, he joined St. Andrews. In the latter part of season 2018/19 he joined FK Senica in Slovakia on loan and last season, he had another loan spell, this time with SC Austria Lustenau.

The Maroons, who are yet to appoint a new coach to replace Paul Zammit, have so far signed the services of Steve Borg.
