Tarxien Rainbows secured the services of twenty five year old goalkeeper Jurgen Borg.
Jurgen Borg started his career with Floriana and first joined Zejtun Corinthians and later Hibernians on loan. In 2014, he was transferred to the Paolites but in season 2016/17 joined Gzira United on loan.
The following season, Jurgen Borg sought the release from Hibernians although he was still under contract but the Paolites rejected his request. He took the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and in January 2018, the CAS ruled in favour of the player and ordered the Malta Football Association to allow Borg to register for another club. He signed for Senglea Athletic.
In summer 2018, he moved to Gzira United but spent the first season on loan with Zebbug Rangers and the latter part of last season on loan with Senglea.
The Rainbows, who have appointed Winston Muscat as their coach and Denni Rocha dos Santos as technical director, had earlier signed Jurgen Debono.
