The fifth edition of the annual Convenience Shop Tournament, organised by San Gwann FC, continued at the Charles Abela Stadium on Sunday with another two matches.
San Gwann defeated St. George’s 3-0 thanks to a brace by Andrea Zammit on the 26th and 30th and a goal by Courage Omoruanzoje five minutes from time.
In another match, Marsaxlokk defeated Qrendi 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw. Leejoe Schembri opened the score for Qrendi on the 11th minute but Ivan Edgardo Paz equalised on the 61st minute.
Marsaxlokk lead the way with 5 points followed by San Gwann on 4, Qrendi 3, Zebbug and St. George’s 0.
