Balzan FC secured the services of Brazilian striker Weverton Gomes Souza.

The twenty-eight year old played for Mosta last season. Earlier in his career, he turned out for Londrina, America Mineiro, Portugesa, Atletico Goianiense and Brusque.

Balzan, who have appointed Mark Miller as their new coach, have so far signed goalkeeper Vukasin Vranes, Eric Lemond McWoods, Moussa Kamara and Suleiman Jalu and renewed the contracts of Sean Cipriott, Neil Frendo and Alfred Effiong.
