Senglea Athletic signed Luca Brincat and Kevaughn Atkinson on loan from Gzira United.

Twenty five year old Kevaughn Atkinson had joined the Maroons earlier this summer. He played for Montego Bay Academy and Sporting Central Academy in Jamaica and had a spell with ASV ASKÖ Salzburg in Austria before moving to Malta to join Mosta in summer 2016. The following season, he joined St. Andrews. In the latter part of season 2018/19 he joined FK Senica in Slovakia on loan and last year, he had another loan spell, this time with SC Austria Lustenau.

On the other hand, twenty three year old Luca Brincat played for the Birkirkara and Tarxien Rainbows nurseries before joining Sliema Wanderers in summer 2013. He joined Gzira United in 2017 but was loaned to Qrendi in the latter part of season 2018/19 and Tarxien Rainbows last January.

Senglea, who have appointed Goran Nikic as their new coach, had earlier signed Dejan Kukic, Nikola Terzin, Uros Tomovic, Roy Rudonja, Miodrag Milenkovic, Uros Parezanin, Igor Misan, Alan Abela, Clyde Borg, Andre Scicluna, Lee Galea, Daneel Abela and goalkeeper James Pisani and confirmed Matthew Farrugia, Zack Cassar and Jan Tanti.
