Another three new signings for Zejtun Corinthians

Zejtun Corinthians continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of another three players, namely goalkeeper Ibrahim Kone, Brazilian defensive midfielder Thiago Bonfim dos Santos and Brazilian attacking midfielder midfielder Fernando Jose Gomez Junior.

Thirty-year old Ibrahim Kone holds dual-nationality of Guinea and Ivory Coast and in fact played for Ivory Coast at youth level and for the Guinea senior national team. He started his career with CF Excellence in Ivory Coast and later played for AS Denguele before moving to France where he was on the books of US Boulogne, Tarbes Pyrenees, Pau FC and Stade Borderlais.

Twenty-eight year old Thiago Bonfim started his career at EC Bahia but had a spell on loan with Sorrento in Italy before returning back to Brazil where he also played for Olaria AC. He later moved to Hungary where he played for Tokol and Diosgyor but returned back to his home country, turning out for VOCEM, Marilia, Imperatriz, CA Juventus and EC Iranduba.

On the other hand, twenty-six year old Fernandinho played for Botafogo, Nautico, Bragantino, Gremio and following a spell with Badak Lampung in Indonesia, for Santo Andre.

Zejtun had earlier secured the services of Gianluca Bugeja, Edward Herrera, Diego Albanese, Lucas Gama Moreira, Anderson Francisco de Barros, Ricardo da Silva Faria and Kemar Reid. They have confirmed coach Orosco Anonam while goalkeeper Christian Cassar, Adrian Carabott, Neil Tabone, Brooke Farrugia, Dylan Agius, Gillmore Azzopardi, Jurgen Suda, Robeiro Nascimento and Marcelo Muniz all agreed to stay with the club.
