Ryan Fenech re-joins Valletta

Ryan Fenech will be playing once again for Valletta after agreeing a two-year deal with the Citizens. Birkirkara had announced earlier on Wednesday that the club and Fenech had mutually agreed to part ways.

A product of Hamrun Spartans, Fenech made his Premier League debut in season 2002/03. He had a short spell on loan with Sliema Wanderers in season 2009/10. Back with the Spartans, he moved to Valletta in the January 2011 transfer window, signing a five-year deal. During that period, he had another short spell on loan with Sliema between January and May 2012. In summer 2015, Fenech moved to Balzan but spent most of the time on the sidelines due to injuries. He joined Sliema in 2018 but last year, moved to Birkirkara.

Valletta, who have appointed Jesmond Zerafa as their coach, had signed Leandro Aguirre, Mihailo Jovanovic, Taisei Marukawa and Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino.
