Sliema Wanderers target top spot

Sliema Wanderers will be hoping to move top on Wednesday should they beat Gudja United in one of the three BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium and the Centenary Stadium.

Mosta take on Hibernians and Floriana face Senglea Athletic in the other two matches.

All matches are being played behind closed doors. but fans are able to watch games thanks to the live-streaming service being offered by the Malta Football Association at https://live.mfa.com.mt/ apart from the usual two weekly matches which are broadcast on TVM 2 and/or TSN.

Mosta vs Hibernians, kick-off 17:00 at Centenary Stadium

After losing heavily to Gzira United during the weekend, Mosta hope to bounce back with a good performance and result against Hibernians. Since Friday, they recovered a number of players who will now be available for selection. They are currently sixth from bottom on five points. The Paolites, on the other hand, lie two points ahead of them after a defeat, two wins and a draw. A win would put them in joint-second or third place.

Floriana vs Senglea Athletic, kick-off 17:00 at National Stadium

Losing two out of the first four matches was definitely not something the Greens thought about and especially after the defeat to Santa Lucia, they will be all out to claim the three points. Senglea, have so far, lost three out of their first four matches.

Sliema Wanderers vs Gudja United, kick-off at 21:15 at National Stadium

The Wanderers remain the only unbeaten side in the BOV Premier League after winning three matches and the other ending in a draw. A win would enable them to leapfrog Hamrun Spartans and move first. However, this would be no easy game as Gudja United did quite well so far, beating Lija and Zejtun following a draw with Mosta, suffering their only defeat to Hamrun.
