Swieqi United dropped their first points as they were held in a 2-2 draw by Qormi at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of the three BOV Challenge League matches in programme on Wednesday.

Tejumola Ebenezer Ayorinde put Swieqi ahead on the 2nd minute but a brace by Danilo Perassoli on the 29th and the 40th turned the score in Qormi’s favour. Alan Schembri Wismayer equalised on the 58th.

In another match at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, San Gwann defeated Naxxar Lions 2-1. Attah Chibueze gave San Gwann the lead on the 3rd minute and Andrea Zammit doubled the score on the 14th. Erikys da Silva Ferreira pulled one back for Naxxar on the 66th.

At the Centenary Stadium, St. Andrews came from behind to beat St. George’s 3-1. Jurgen Grech put the Cospicua side ahead on the 32nd but Alan Borg Olivier equalised five minutes in the second half. Joseph Farrugia made it 2-1 on the hour and Malcolm Vella Vidal 3-1 twelve minutes from time.
