Second consecutive win for Mosta

Mosta came from behind to beat Senglea Athletic 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.

For Mosta, this was their second consecutive win which puts them on level points with Santa Lucia in the eighth place. Senglea, on the other hand, suffered the sixth consecutive defeat.

Following a goalless first half, Senglea managed to break the deadlock ten minutes in the second half when Liam Portelli floored Wilkerson Gomes inside the area and from the penalty spot, the Brazilian striker converted.

However, Mosta levelled matters on the 71st minute thanks to an unfortunate own goal by Luis Riascos Torres following an attempt by Igor Misan to clear the ball into safety.

Ten minutes from time, Mosta went 2-1 ahead after Bojan Kaljevic had a shot partially saved by the goalkeeper aided by the upright and Christ Evo Ememe headed home off the rebound.

Six minutes from time, Lee Galea was sent off for Senglea after receiving a second yellow card.

Mosta added another goal on the 90th minute thanks to Kevin Tulimieri who hit home from close range following a cross by Martinez.
