Ten-man Mosta defeat Floriana

Despite playing for around fifty minutes in ten men, Mosta registered an impressive 2-0 win over Floriana at the National Stadium on Sunday.

This third consecutive win for the Blues put them in fifth place, on level points with Gudja, five behind leaders Sliema. Floriana, on the other hand, now lie one point behind Mosta and Gudja.

Two minutes from the end of the first half, Mosta were reduced to ten men after Clayton Failla received a second yellow card following a reckless tackle. 

However, in added time before the end of the first half, Mosta opened the score when Bojan Kaljevic received an assist by Tulimieri and advanced into the area before hitting low past Akpan. 

With the Greens all out in search of the equaliser, seven minutes in added time, Mosta doubled the score when Bojan Kaljevic delivered a cross from the left and Zachary Brincat served Gianluca Sciberras who hit low past Akpan from the edge of the area.
