Kaljevic penalty hands Mosta narrow win

A penalty by Bojan Kaljevic made the whole difference as Mosta defeated Tarxien Rainbows 1-0 at the National Stadium on Saturday. A win which puts Mario Muscat’s side in joint-fifth place along with Gudja United on 17 points.

Tarxien, on the other hand, remain third from bottom on eight points as they suffer a second defeat on the trot following the defeat to Birkirkara on Wednesday.

Mosta scored the all-important goal on 37 minutes when they were awarded a penalty after Bojan Kaljevic was brought down inside the area by Anderson do Nascimento Carneiro and from the penalty spot, the Montenegrin striker made no mistake.
