Zurrieq retained second place in Group A of the BOV National Amateur League following a goalless draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Wednesday.
Zurrieq therefore stay two points ahead of third-placed Marsaskala but lie seven points behind leaders Mgarr United.
With the league set to come to an end in mid-February, Mgarr United and Melita are firm favourites to secure promotion from Group A and Group C respectively. The situation is much more complicated in Group B as just five points separate six teams.
The top team in each group will be promoted while the teams ending second, third and fourth in each group will take part in the play-offs.
