A Darren Falzon freekick two minutes in added time enabled Tarxien Rainbows to hold Floriana in a 2-2 draw at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.
For the Greens, this was the second draw in four days and the second draw since the appointment of John Buttigieg as new coach which mean that they have now gone five matches without a win after losing the previous three matches. They are currently eleventh on 18 points.
Tarxien, on the other hand, earn a precious point after losing the previous five matches.
Floriana took the lead on the 34th minute when off a cross by Diego Venancio from the right, Brandon Paiber slotted the ball past goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes.
Tarxien equalised four minutes later thanks to a Raphael Kooh Sohna header off a good move by Ivan Edgardo Paz on the left.
The Greens regained the lead one minute from the end of the first half through another goal by Brandon Paiber, as he slotted the ball home past the Tarxien custodian when served by Arias.
The game seemed heading for a draw but two minutes in added time, Tarxien levelled matters thanks to a great Darren Falzon freekick which gave Ini Etim Akan no chance.
