Despite playing for over an hour in ten men, Zejtun Corinthians rescued a point in a 1-1 draw with Sirens at the Hibernians Stadium on Sunday.
A draw which puts Zejtun on level points with Gudja and Balzan with the Zejtun and Balzan due to face each other in a direct clash on Wednesday. Sirens, on the other hand, are alone in ninth place, one point ahead of Floriana and four ahead of Zejtun, Gudja and Balzan.
The Corinthians were reduced to ten men on 25 minutes after Vitor Vieira after an incident with an opponent inside the area.
On the hour, Sirens managed to take the lead thanks to a great freekick by Hamed Kone which gave goalkeeper Christian Cassar no chance.
However, on the 90th minute, Zejtun levelled matters when off a cross by Edward Herrera from the right, Kemar Reid headed home past David Cassar.
