Malta international striker Haley Bugeja, who plays for US Sassuolo in Italy, was named the Best Youth Player – MVP Timvision Miglior Giovane – in the Serie A.
Seventeen year old Bugeja had a fantastic first season in Italy as she scored twelve goals in eighteen appearances for the neroverdi.
Sassuolo placed third in the Serie A, finishing just one point behind runner-up AC Milan – the club’s best finish in its short history. Another Sassuolo player Kamila Dubcova won the Best Midfielder award.
