Malta Under-19 side to face San Marino in two friendly matches

The Malta Under-19 national team led by coach Andrea Tedesco and his assistant Stefano Grima is on duty twice in the coming days as they test their qualities and skills in a multiple friendly encounter against San Marino.

Both matches at the Centenary Stadium, with first encounter scheduled for Wednesday at 18:30, both sides face each other again on Friday morning.

On Tuesday, following a final training session for the boys on this MD-1, coach Tedesco selected his final 25 players in the squad for these two matches.

These friendlies will surely help the boys to gain more experience and lead them towards their footballing path and the unified game philosophy National Teams at all categories are chasing, spearheaded forward by Head Coach Devis Mangia and his coaching staff.

The 25-man squad is made up of two foreign based players, Sacha Cachia playing his trade in Spain, whereas Isaac Ebejer plays in Hampshire, UK.

Locally, San Ġwann FC, with six players, is the club most represented in this new-look Malta U19 Squad, followed with Birkirkara FC and Pieta’ Hotspurs who are represented with five players each.
