Under-17 national team off to Trieste to take part in Trofeo Nereo Rocco

The Malta Under-17 national team has travelled to Trieste on Thursday to take part in the 35th edition of the Trofeo Nereo Rocco.

Malta will be playing in Group A along with HNK Rijeka of Croatia and Italian sides Bologna and Udinese. Matches which will serve as preparation ahead of the UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying round mini-tournament which will see Malta facing Turkey, Denmark and Montenegro in October.

Malta plays Rijeka on Friday in Visco, Udinese on Saturday in Cussignacco and Bologna on Sunday in Monfalcone.
