The Malta Futsal national team defeated San Marino 1-0 in the last match from Group B of the Futsal Week Summer Cup which is being held in Porec, Croatia.

The contest was dominated by the boys led by coach Zeljko Anicic, enjoying most of the possession forcing our opponents to defend for most of the game.

Match winner scored by captain Mark Zammit to earn Malta this vital win.

This win follows a defeat to Saudi Arabia in the first outing and a 5-2 win over Montenegro.

Malta is therefore set to finish in second place in the group and would meet the runner-up of Group A in the final for third and fourth place on Sunday. The opponent would be Italy or Finland.
