Another comfortable win for Luxol

Luxol St Andrews registered their second win in the Enemed Futsal League as they beat Żurrieq. University of Malta, Mellieħa and Ta’ Xbiex also found no difficulty to keep their perfect record intact while Siġġiewi Futsal obtained their first ever win in the match against Marsaskala.

Luxol St Andrews prepared for their commitments in the UEFA Futsal Champions League in style after a 22-0 mauling over Żurrieq.

The St Andrews side were in dominant mode during this match as Carl Azzopardi and Dylan Musu netted five goals, Marwan Telisi and Gia Nikvasvili scored a hat-trick, Melvin Borg and Andy Mangion hit the target twice while Mark Zammit completed the score for his team.

Mellieħa registered an 11-0 scoreline over Qormi Futsal. The Northerners were determined to get the most important points with Ervin Rigo in fine form as he scored five goals. Marinko Solarevic, Gregory Busuttil, Shataizan Zarb, Andrew Abela and Denzil Pisani also put their names on the score sheet.

Albanian striker Stefi Cale was inspirational for Ta’ Xbiex Futsal as he netted four goals in the match against St George’s which they won 13-3. George Frendo and Jonathan Caruana scored a brace while Nigel Borg, Glenn Bonello, Karl Scerri, Dexter O’Brien and Joshua Tonna were also on target.

University of Malta registered a 4-1 victory over Naxxar Futsal. Bruno Fernandes, Essa Benatiya, Paul Scerri and Stefan Camilleri were on target for University while Antoine Barbara reduced the arrears for Naxxar.

Siġġiewi saw off Marsaskala Futsal 5-2. The team who is playing for the first time in the local futsal competitions were determined to get the most important win with Jean Lopes Leite, Dale Vella, Wallace Oliveira, Ryan Muscat and Kurt Darmanin on target. Marsaskala scored their consolation goals through a Denim Pisani double.
