Floriana FC secured the services of 38-year old goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo from Valletta.
This will be Bartolo’s second spell with Floriana after joining them on loan in season 2011/12.
A product of San Gwann, Bartolo joined Msida St. Joseph in January 2006 on loan and on a definite transfer the following summer. He was loaned to Birkirkara in season 2010/11 and Floriana the following season before moving to Valletta in summer 2012. Bartolo was loaned to Balzan for the latter part of season 2013/14 and to Zebbug for the latter part of season 2014/15.
In summer 2016, after starring for Valletta in the UEFA Champions League commitments, Manuel Bartolo joined Mosta in August. The following season, he played for San Gwann in Division 1 but joined Hamrun Spartans in 2018, spending three years with the club He moved to Valletta this summer as he was no longer in the club’s plans.
