Hamrun Spartans signed Colombian twenty-six year old forward Carlos Alberto Ibargüen Hinojosa.

A product of Cortulua, Carlos Ibarguen joined Tigres UNAL in Mexico but was loaned back to Independiente Santa Fe,, Independiente Medellin and Cortulua in Colombia, FC Juarez and Correcaminos in Mexico and CD La Equidad, Atletico Bucaramanga and once again Cortulua in Colombia. He left the club to join SKF Sered in Slovakia and last year had a short spell with Tecnico Universitario in Colombia.

Ibarguen is the second January signing for the Spartans following the arrival of Steve Borg from Gzira United.
