The Tipsport Malta Cup 2022 kicked-off at the National Stadium on Tuesday with the first two matches.

In the first match, FC Spartak Trnava of Slovakia defeated WSG Tirol of Austria 2-0

Following a goalless first half, Alex Ivan put Spartak Trnava ahead and eight minutes from time, Richard Sabol sealed the issue with a second goal.

In the second match, SK Sigma Olomouc of the Czech Republic defeated Danish side AaB Aalborg 3-0.

Vaclav Jemelka handed Sigma Olomouc the lead six minutes from the end of the first half. Lukas Gressak doubled the score on the 58th and ninte minutes from time, substitute Mojmir Chytil made it 3-0.

The tournament will continue on Friday as WSG Tirol face Aalborg at 16:00 while Sigma Olomouc cross swords with Spartak Trnava at 20:00. All matches are being played at the National Stadium.
