Three new signings for Gzira United

Gzira United continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of three new players, namely Jean Paul Attard, Matthew Gauci and Toni Kolega.

Twenty year old Jean Paul Attard is a product of San Gwann but spent season 2020/21 on loan with Fgura United.

Thirty-year old Matthew Robert Gauci started his career at the Sliema Wanderers nursery before moving to Hibernians. He had a spell with Lowstoft Town in England but then re-joined the Paolites. He had spells on loan with Hamrun Spartans and Qormi before being transferred to Zebbug Rangers. Gauci was loaned to Fgura United, St. Andrews and Hamrun Spartans, joining Marsa last January.

Croatian twenty-three year old winger Toni Kolega played for NK Zadar and NK Lokomotiva Zagreb at youth level before moving to NK Seveste on loan. Later he had spells with NK Kustosija Zagreb, NK Osijek’s second team and NK Rudes before moving to Siroki Brijeg in Bosnia and Herzegovina last summer.

The Maroons had earlier signed Croatian duo Antonio Pavic and Marko Cosic.
