Zebbug Rangers scored twice in added time to turn defeat into victory as they beat Fgura United 2-1 in a match from Group B of the BOV Challenge League at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Dylan Caruana put Fgura ahead after just seven minutes but Yanis Tonna converted a penalty on the 91st to equalise and five minutes later, Jonathan Silveira da Silvva made it 2-1.
Zebbug lead the way with 23 points, followed by Pieta’ and Tarxien on 20 points, Marsa 17, Fgura and Qrendi 16, Swieqi 15, St. Andrews 12, Senglea 11, Mgarr 8 and Luqa 7.
In Group A, Vittoriosa Stars and Mqabba earned a point each in a 1-1 draw at the Centenary Stadium.
Joseph Farrugia put Vittoriosa ahead on the 72nd but Luka Mijic equalised four minutes later.
Pembroke lead the way with 27 points, followed by Naxxar on 25, Zejtun on 20, Lija and Melita 18, Marsaxlokk 16, Mqabba 13, San Gwann and Vittoriosa 10, Rabat 9 and St. George’s 4.
