In-form Floriana take on Hamrun Spartans in a clash between the teams lying in second and third place in one of the three BOV Premier League matches in programme on Sunday. Valletta face Gudja United while Birkirkara cross swords with Gzira United in the other two matches.
At the National Stadium, kick-off at 14:00, Hamrun Spartans take on Floriana.
Three points separate the two teams as the Greens lie in second place on 29 points, five behind leaders Hibernians, while the Spartans are third on 26. Floriana registered four wins in their last four matches, defeating Santa Lucia, Sliema, Valletta and Birkirkara. Hamrun, on the other hand, are coming from six positive results but were held in draws by Balzan and Birkirkara in their last two outings.
The Greens will be without the suspended Kristian Keqi, Andrei Ciolacu and Aleandro Garzia while Steve Borg serves the second game of his two-match ban.
In the first round, Hamrun defeated Floriana 2-1.
At the Tony Bezzina Stadium, kick-off at 16:00, Valletta face Gudja United.
Valletta share sixth place with Gzira on 21 points, four ahead of Gudja who are currently ninth. The Citizens failed to win in their last five matches, earning points in draws with Birkirkara and Gzira, losing to Hamrun, Balzan and Floriana. Gudja, on the other hand, registered back-to-back wins over Santa Lucia and Sliema Wanderers.
Valletta goalkeeper Alessandro Guarnone and Gudja midfielder Llywelyn Cremona are ruled out through suspension.
In the first round, Gudja defeated Valletta 2-0.

The Stripes are currently fourth on 24 points while Gzira share the sixth place with Valletta on 21. While Gzira won just one out of the last four matches by defeating Sliema 3-1, earning another two points in draws with Santa Lucia and Valletta, Birkirkara won one out of the last five games, defeating Balzan, earning points in draws with Valletta, Mosta and Hamrun.
In the first round, Gzira and Birkirkara shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
