Coach Andrea Vella named a 20-man squad for the friendly double header that the Under 16 national team will be playing against Azerbaijan on Friday 25th March and on Monday 28th March at the MFA Training Grounds, kick-off at 11:00.
These friendly matches are part of the Malta FA’s strategy’s goal 1 whereas besides working in unison towards a common objective – build from the bottom, and sustain this work with all the resources at disposal so that the legacy of this strategy will be to see the national teams become consistently competitive. This project is aimed at maximising the potential of our elite footballers who form part of our national team selections in the Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 age groups. Exposing the younger teams to match practice will surely reap the rewards of success.
