The Malta Under-16 national team lost 0-2 to Azerbaijan in a friendly match at the MFA Training Grounds on Monday.

This was the second match against Azerbaijan for Andrea Vella’s side. In the first match, the two teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

On Monday, Ashraf Alakbari put the visitors ahead on 25minutes and just before the end of the second half, Nihad Ahmadzada doubled the score.
