Swieqi United won the Women’s Under-16 Knock-Out Competition after defeating San Gwann 2-0 in the final at the Marsaskala Ground on Sunday.

Following a goalless first half, Kay Axiak put Swieqi ahead on the 55th and Nina-Lee Naudi doubled the score on the 67th.

Swieqi had finished in the runner-up spot in the Women’s Under-16 League six points behind champions Birkirkara but then managed to defeat them 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Knock-Out Competition.
