Luxol St. Andrews and University of Malta will be contesting the final of the E & L Futsal Trophy as they eased past their respective opponents in the semi-finals.

Luxol defeated St George’s 8-3 in a match which they dominated from start to finish. Everton Veve, Andy Mangion and Nathan Cope scored a brace while Mark Zammit and Matthew Attard also put their names on the score sheet. Karl Luke Schembri’s double and Herbert Spiteri were on the mark for St George’s.

University of Malta dominated the second semi-final against Siġġiewi Futsal winning 10-2. The Universitarians showed an aggressive approach which stunned their opponents who tried to defend boldly. Guillherme Fonseca netted a hat-trick while Mohammed Elamari and Jean Noel Azzopardi helped themselves with a brace. Dale Valletta, Cleaven Portelli and Stefan Camilleri were also on target for University of Malta. Andre Joe Cutajar and Dale Vella scored Siġġiewi’s consolation goals.

The final between University of Malta and Luxol will be played this Wednesday at the National Sports School Pavilion in Pembroke at 20:45.
