The Futsal Malta Association convened its Annual General Meeting at the Centenary Hall, Ta’ Qali. The meeting put an end to the FMA’s administrative commitments for the 2021/22 Futsal season, whilst marking the formal start of the 2022/23 season which is expected to be another year of growth and consolidation for the local sport.
The FMA confirmed the composition of its executive committee for the last year of the committee’s statutory term of office, with Perit Mark Borg confirmed as President, Claudio Azzopardi as Vice-President, Dr. Stefan Cutajar as Secretary General, Matthew Borg as Treasurer, and Joseph Meilak, Mark Gauci, John Schembri, Jeremy Dalli and Clive Perry as members.
Amongst other items on the Annual General Meeting’s agenda, the FMA disclosed its vision for the 2022-23 season and confirmed that the Super Cup competition shall return and shall be disputed in mid-September 2022.
The FMA also reiterated that the commercial partnership with main sponsors Enemed Co. Ltd and E&L Enterprises shall continue for a further year, with the naming rights of the Championship competition and Knock-Out Trophy being secured by said sponsors respectively.
