Making their first ever international appearance, the Malta Under-14 national team played two friendly matches in Lithuania at the LFF Training Centre in Kaunas.
In the first match on Monday, the Maltese gave a very good account of themselves despite suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat in a match played in constant rain with the locals prevailing thanks to a first-half goal.
Malta lined-up as follows: Jayden Farrugia, Drew Miceli, Dale Vella (Ismael Vella), Andreas Vella, Sami Abo Assaf, Liam James, Jansen Zahra (Jaylen Zarb), Jack Camilleri, Scott Camilleri (Daniel Pawley), Ethan Brincat Winters (Benjamin Borg), Bjorn Caruana.
On Wednesday, Malta were trailing one goal behind but managed to fight back to end the game in a draw thanks to a goal by Bjorn Caruana on the 60th.
