Sirens sign Brazilian duo

Sirens secured the services of Brazilian duo Wellington Petinha and Marcelo Muniz.

Twenty-nine year old Wellington de Oliveira Vieira started his career at Bangu AC before moving to Portugal where he played for Atletico Reguengos and Alcanenense in Portugal. In 2018, he moved to Malta where he played for Tarxien Rainbows, Qormi, Sirens and Valletta. This will be in fact his second spell with the St. Paul’s Bay after playing for them in season 2019/20 and the first part of season 2020/21.

Thirty-one year old central midfielder Marcelo Muniz played for Vasco da Gama, Botafogo, Bonsucessso FC, CA Porto, Feirense FC and America FC in Brazil before moving to Lithuania where he played for Stumbras, DFK Dainava and Kauno Zalgiris. He moved to Malta in September 2019 to join Zejtun Corinthians and last January moved to ASD San Luca in Italy.

Sirens had earlier signed Promise Oluwatobi Emmanuel David Akinpelu, goalkeepers Matthew Grech and Andrea Cassar and Sean Cipriott.
