Birkirkara secured the services of twenty-five year old Italian goalkeeper Giacomo Nava.

A product of Sampdoria, he was loaned to Bogliasco and Lentigione before moving to Lecco and eventually Rimini. Nava then moved to Kosovo to play for FC Llapi.

The Stripes, who have appointed Giovanni Tedesco as their new coach, had earlier signed Osvaldo Iorio Forestero, Diego Pires Dall’Oca, Kevin Tulimieri, Denis Custodio Ribeiro, Enzo Daniel Cabrera and Alex da Paixao Alves.
