Santa Lucia FC continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Miguel Angel Alba.
Alba played for CA Union, CA Chacarita Juniors and CA Douglas Haig in Argentina, Alianza Petrolera in Colombia, CD Nublense in Chile, Deportivo Santamarina, CD Guarani, Paphos FC in Cyprus, PAE Veria in Greece and Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus before moving to Malta in January 2017 to join Birkirkara. He was not retained at the end of the season and moved back to Argentina where he played for Gimnasia y Tiro (Salta). However, he returned to Malta in January 2018 to join Valletta where he spent eighteen months. In summer 2019, Alba moved back to Birkirkara but mid-way through the season, joined Valletta. He was not retained at the end of the season and moved to Italy where he played for GSD Di Benedetto Trinitapoli and US Agropoli.
The club, who have appointed Pablo Cortes Sanchez as their new coach, had earlier signed Matthew Calleja Cremona, Michael Johnson, Thomas Rier and Robert Bairam Mihalache.
