The BOV Challenge League 2022/23 kicked-off on Friday as Tarxien Rainbows defeated Lija Athletic 2-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

Matthew Spiteri put Tarxien ahead on the 8th minute and the same player doubled the score five minutes in the second half. Erjon Beu converted a penalty to reduce the gap for Lija on the 71st minute.
