The Malta Football Association issued the fixtures for the Preliminary Round of the Izibet FA Trophy 2022/23. Matches will be played between November 15 and 22.
The Izibet FA Trophy features clubs from the BOV Premier League, BOV Challenge League, the BOV Gozo Football League First Division and the four semi-finalists of the National Amateur Cup. The Preliminary Round trims the number of teams to twenty which would join the twelve Premier League clubs in the Round of 32.

The six teams who were awarded a bye to the next round were Zurrieq, San Gwann, Sliema Wanderers, Mtarfa, Zejtun Corinthians and the winners of Match 1 from the National Amateur Cup between Mgarr United and Siggiewi.
