UEFA Futsal Champions League: Luxol end commitments on a positive note

Luxol St. Andrews ended their Elite Round commitments on a positive note as they held FK Chrudim of the Czech Republic in a 2-2 draw in their final match from Group C of the UEFA Futsal Champions League at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, Kazakhstan on Saturday.

Therefore in their first appearance in the Elite Round, Luxol finished third in the group on three points, behind leaders Benfica, second-placed Chrudim and ahead of hosts Kairat Almaty.

Martin Dosa put Chrudim ahead on the 3rd minute but Fumasa levelled matters for Luxol on the 7th minute. Celino Alves handed Luxol the lead on the 25th but an own goal on the 32nd minute restored equilibrium.

In another match from Group C on Saturday, Benfica defeated Kairat Almaty 2-1 to win the tournament and reach the finals.
